DAY 1: Nanny Cay, Tortola, embarkation

After arrival, boat provisioning and check-in, the Welcome Party will follow, kicking off at 19:30h. This year, we will be starting and ending in Nanny Cay, a 10 minute drive from Road Town. This is a perfect starting point for us: fully refitted marina, supermarket, restaurant, beach bar, accommodation available for anyone arriving earlier or staying later. It is always so much fun catching up with old friends and meeting the new ones!

DAY 2: NANNY CAY – COOPER ISLAND

Our first day course takes us east to Cooper Island where we can relax and swim in the beautiful Manchioneel Bay, the perfect setting for soaking up the sunset with a sundowner in hand. Cooper Island was one of the most popular destinations on the last regatta! Cocktails on the beach and dinner on board.

Last time we anchored at Cooper Island, some of us swam with Dolphins! It was an incredible experience.

DAY 3: COOPER ISLAND – JOST VAN DYKE

The ritual has been formed during the last two events! After the regatta, we’ll anchor in Great Harbour, close to Foxy’s, as that is where we’ll have our evening feast again. Our afternoon swim and fun time will be in the White Bay. We’ll get over in a local open taxi vehicle. The views from the top of the hill are stunning! White Bay has one of the most beautiful beaches in the BVI. Soggy Dollar bar offers delicious cocktails, fun beach games, in a fun and relaxing environment.

In the evening, we’ll all gather at the Foxy’s for a delicious dinner followed by a dance on the sandy dance floor. JVD is always so much fun!

DAY 4: JOST VAN DYKE – CANE GARDEN BAY

Cane Garden Bay is a gorgeous sheltered bay where we can pick up balls or anchor. As well as strolling barefoot along the beach, floating in the water or soaking up the vibe while enjoying a cocktail in a beach bar, we will probably also be blessed with a gorgeous sunset to cap it all.

We love hanging out at the ‘Paradise’ when there.

DAY 5: CANE GARDEN BAY – SOPER’S HOLE

Near the western tip of Tortola, Soper’s Hole is a delightful cove in the shadow of lush green mountains with an idyllic tropical feel. There are plenty of shops, markets and restaurants ashore as well as numerous marina options, the most comprehensive being Soper’s Hole Marina.

We could all dine together at the Jolly Roger Inn. Pusser’s Landing  is also an option if you like waterside dining, live entertainment and an outdoor bar.

We very much enjoyed our morning coffee at the Omar’s Cafe during our skipper’s briefing in the morning.

DAY 6: SOPER’S HOLE – NANNY CAY

We will sail back to Nanny Cay for our famous Gourmet Night! You’ll be able to do some last minute shopping in Soper’s Hole, although the winner of the last year’s Gourmet Night had to drive all the way back to Road Town for their secret ingredients!

For the Gourmet Night, we all moor together, the crews prepare their special meal for this evening and we all share it on decks, enjoying one of the most special evenings of the regatta. It is a real treat!

For March 2022, I am sure we’ll be inviting Lutz’s team of salsa dance teachers from Lagoon MOET to work with us on those wonderful moves! Get ready …

DAY 7: NANNY CAY – PETER ISLAND, OCEAN’S SEVEN YACHT CLUB

This will be our last race of the week and we’ll be sailing to Great Harbour, Peter Island for our Prize Giving dinner and the closing party.

Prize Giving will be celebrated at the wonderful Ocean’s 7 Club where we had a fabulous climax to the 2020 week and it’s now top of our list for 2022 as well! The club is on its own, secluded, in the most beautiful bay. It offers several mooring places on their jetty as well as some mooring balls that can be reserved for HPYF catamarans.

DAY 8: Nanny Cay, Tortola disembarkation

Morning after … 🙂 … We’ll motor back to Nanny Cay for disembarkation. Most of us will be spending a day or so in Tortola, making the most out of freshly created memories of another excellent week!

We will be back at Foxy’s on Jost Van Dyke for a great dinner and dance, but all that after a lazy afternoon at Soggy Dollar Bar over in White Bay. Get ready for the beach games!

Prize-giving event will be at the Ocean 7 Yacht Club in Great Harbour on Peter Island!

Our gourmet, Roux night, is always the highlight of the event, no matter where we are! Expect delicious meals at this cookery competition where the bar is never too high.
